40 years ago on the 28th of january 1968 neal cassady made his last road trip to san miguel de allende mexico. on february the 3rd he walked to the railway depot to pick up his belongings. on the way he came across a mexican wedding party and joined them. later he walked on towards the depot and was found unconscious the following morning. he was taken to the hospital but never recovered and died 4 days before his 42nd birthday.
