a little marx - a little freud - a little social history
i think i live in the seventies - everything since seems to have been a mistake - or perhaps i never grew up - a supporter of european culture - the great novelists poets and composers whose names recur - well - nowhere anymore. i remain yours - washwood heaths greatest living poet - a throwback from the space age - when we knew the secret of success was the capacity to survive failure - see you round the clubs x

backstage foro sol mexico city
we flew in from rio to do some awards show that ended after a long wait. this time we're in the bond street area of mexico city in a strange hotel of 25 floors. i'm on the 24th and as i sat in the circular bath a helicopter flew towards me and then descended. down below it's hard to believe jack kerouac and william burroughs lived and worked. around here each house and shop has an armed guard. but the food is good if you find a friendly place. two buskers singing lady madonna and mr moonlight in sweet harmony. some photos got corrupted so there are a few rio and mexico shots missing - a million mexican snaps as the car journey here took forever. now i must go through my pre stage rituals of listening to gram parsons and weeping. join the sol foro everyone x
