|
sitting here listening to the earlies - who can not love the earlies? i've had two monmouth coffees and an organic digestive biscuit - perhaps it's time for lunch. but i had to tell you this. Which means you can buy tickets for three showings of cocksucker blues here. of course you know about my un wavering stones devotion but maybe you've forgotten that keep going was named after a frank book hold still - keep going. it's a trip through pre mall america on heroin and cocaine. great interview by elvis costello with joni mitchell in vanity fair. crikey that must have been quite a chat. the dylan book is inspiring and funny and can be read in about 25 minutes. oh and remember I wasted my youth worrying I was wasting away Waiting for someone to say “You’re number one” Under the carpet Where most of my life was lived in darkness Waiting for me to start to work it out. x |

| radio | ||
| well radio is released today - it's the new robbie williams single - and i am proud and privileged to be the co writer and co producer. it was written in my old attic room at air studios - neither of us brought any previously worked on ideas with us. this and much of the new stuff comes from improvising with sounds and rhythms and then jamming together over what ever we come up with. it's a way of working neither of us had tried before. radio is taking off in another direction now were playing it live - so the experimentation continues & the album doesn't have to be finished until the spring. it is very exciting and i feel very lucky. hey we pre recorded the next single misunderstood for top of the pops and they did that wavy arm thing – how much greater can life be? oh yeah world peace and all that. . . xxx | ||
|
| well we did that and now i'm doing this | ||
| that was fun. i broke my A string (thats a pretty thick one) during the middle 8 and then a B string (thats a thin one) during the freak out fan out outro. so i guess that means we rocked. i was hoping it was going to appear like the invention of punk rock in the seas of Philadelphia, but i expect it was neutered by whatever it is they do to live music when it's performed on tv. the next day we went to cd uk but that goes out another time. then we went to ant and decs and then we went home. | ||
