| we flew in yesterday - the photolog resumes - i enjoyed walking up and down to and from air lyndhurst - but now we are back in the bubble - back in the air con - back wondering how to experience everything and wondering if i should do more. i'm reading white heat by dominic sandbrook and listening to very early bob dylan. it's a sixties thing - so far away. and it's very hot here on the roof - i sit in the shade and look at the snow peaked peaks. time to get in van 3 and go to the soundcheck - i hope you sound ok too x | ||

so yesterday sven nykvist passed away. he was a cinematographer of genius - perhaps most famous for all of the great ingmar bergman films. what an amazing way to earn a living - i hope he had a happy life. my life has left milton keynes at last - physically if not emotionally. soon we go to south america - but now we don't go to india or china - the bit I was most looking forward too. the tour (which goes on until december 19th) has been an experience of some complexity - who (among you fans of my more miserable songs) knew i would work so closely with ant and dec? the rehearsal in a portacabin was filmed - i hope you get to enjoy it on you tube soon. my tour diary written in the third person has now become so vast and vague i don't know if it's for the website or a book - but first i have to type it all up - the curse of the analogue pencil. whilst on tour i re read the complete don delillo. i prefer the ones when i know he's being funny. i aim to start recording a new album in november now. i'll sit down and record the songs and then decide if they need anyone else playing along with me - i think thats the best thing. i really like very simple records - an acoustic guitar and a voice - but i can never resist overdubbing and arrangements - harmony and discordance - dissonance and perhaps just good company. i must practice. duffypedia gets more intense by the moment. there are records and videos up now i can barely recall making but then everything is so far away these days. so i suppose i'm just saying i'm still here and i'm glad you are too x |

neil taylor plays the guitar and he has a web site. as yet he has no existential blog or overwhelming barrage of photo's documenting every car trip to and from airports hotels and venues - but we live in hope. he does have pictures of his amplifiers though thrill seekers. i promise to type up all this stuff that i'm writing longhand - maybe tonight. there's an interview with me in sound on sound magazine in which i actually sound as if i know how to make a record - check it out thrill seekers. . . next leeds and onto MILTON KEYNES thrill seekers x |

| there's a problem with seeing my pictures on this due to us getting 4 hits a second from austria - maybe i should put them in a book - found a great book shop here - orell füssli - i'm listening to modern times and reading a walk on the wild side - stewart is fixing the site - he has scissors gaffa tape and string - it will be done soon i'm sure x | ||
