I hear the film went well in Salford. Dates for next years festivals will be announced soon. Perhaps five in the U.K. and three in the U.S., if you are a festival or a cinema and are interested in screening the film please get in touch. My mother is unfailingly rose tinted about the weather. I would like to dedicate this weekends pictures to her.

My heart’s a-thumpin’ like a mandolin a-plunkin’ a tune
November 19th, 2009
Instead of writing the book on leaving this site I clicked on the [compact disc] link above and saw that the admittedly slightly vile “They called him Tin Tin ” compact disc only had two stars on Amazon.co.uk. I would have thought it should have at least for stars due to my honest and heartwarming liner notes. Swicky the lone Amazon reviewer thought otherwise. if you cant wait for 48 hours to see if my review is accepted by the hard working review readers at Amazon H.Q. here is a preview.
“Yes, our life is a misery, an endless misery. Why do we exist? Send me the news.”
I’m not too keen on my incunabula or early work but, whilst acknowledging that I was seldom heavenly in those brutal surly eighties, I feel Sunday Supplement & Julie Christie are above average creations for a twenty two year old. I find solace though in that I fared better than the Silverline 445888 500 Watt Submersible Water Pump for which Swicky had stern words and one star and feel great gratitude to be judged to be equal with the Intex Single Air Bed with Built in Pump which also got two stars. ”I try to reassure myself with Rimbaud’s last letter to his sister: `Yes, our life is a misery, an endless misery. Why do we exist? Send me the news.’God bless you Swicky and I will try harder in the next life.

“Stephen Duffy & The Lilac Time have more than met the daunting task of contributing ‘Pancho and Lefty’, its arguably one of the best versions of this oft-covered tune.” http://bit.ly/2upqkv Thank you.
Ground Level
November 17th, 2009
What a beautiful sunny morning. Will spend morning reading Doris Day lyrics as research, you understand, for the book. But before that I’ll change out of my Vans and walk Arthur & Alice. The movie “Memory & Desire” is flying back from Copenhagen as we type and will arrive in Salford for this Saturdays screening. I wont be there but I’m writing a manifesto to be read before the film is shown. here are the links once more.
http://www.salfordfilmfestival.org.uk/film-details.asp?id=648Tickets for the screening are available here http://www.salfordfilmfestival.org.uk/festival-tickets.asp Just ring the number and quote the event and date. Tickets are completely free and are posted out free too.
Looking forward to this next February. Can we have more kids like them. . .
